Here are just a few quick hits on newsworthy items in the Russian football world. This is similar to the “Spletnik” which is brought to you by the Andrewest of Skomras. Krasic king in Serbia. Serbian and CSKA Moskva winger, Milos Krasic, has been named the Serbian footballer of the year. Krasic was presented the Gold [...] This week was a relatively quiet week for Russian players abroad. We did however, see the return of Andrei Arshavin, who had missed a couple week’s action for Arsenal. Yuri Zhirkov was on Chelsea’s matchday squad as a sub, but after making his competitive debut in the Carling Cup, didn’t play in the league fixture. [...] Again, this week’s Russians Abroad, will be an abridged version. Most of the Russians playing outside of the Motherland have either an injury or are still trying to find their place on their respective squads. Andrei Arshavin continues to miss time with Arsenal because of a groin injury.
