Authors

Andrew Skomra, being an avid follower if the Russian game (amongst other football pursuits), has been a visitor to Russian Football Now since the site’s inception. He started writing for the site in October, 2009. Based in Chicago, Illinois (U.S.A.), Andrew is an editor of academic journals (Owner’s note: He is the most prolific author on this site and the backbone of the project). You can follow him on Twitter, here.

Richard Farley, is one of the site’s co-founders. Those who have heard of him know him from World Soccer Reader and that site’s podcast, Inside the Six. He also writes for Examiner, and maintains his own blog at RF Football. He has also featured on the EPL Talk and Major League Soccer Talk podcasts. While a running gag on the podcasts claims Richard is a supporter of Spartak Nalchik, his love of the league is from the perspective of a dispassionate observer who feels the league is under-appreciated. He is based in San Diego, California (U.S.A.). You can follow him on Twitter, here.

Chris Riordan is a writer, broadcaster, whose family connections in Russia drew him to the game. Amongst Premier League clubs, he supports Spartak Moskva, though his favorite club in the league is Ural. My his own admission, his favorite player is Andrei Arshavin. Chris is located in the Washington, D.C.-area of the United States and has also been prominently featured on Major League Soccer Talk’s site and podcast. You can follow him on Twitter, here.
